Southern Dunes Pool Information (English)

Pool Rules:
1. A lifeguard is provided for the pool facility. However, all persons using the pool or pool area do so at their own risk. Lifeguards reserve the right to limit the number of persons in the pool area at any time.

2. Pool hours are 10am to 8 pm seven days a week, weather permitting. Pool will be closed for lightning, thunder and any rain that does not allow opening by 4pm.

3. The wading areas are for those four years and under and only when accompanied by an adult. The lap pool is for the use of those 18yrs or older.

4. An adult must accompany children under the age of fourteen.
5. NO diving allowed.

6. No floatation devices allowed in the pool with the exception of approved safety devices attached around the waist or water wings.

7. Only swimsuits may be worn into the water. Children in diapers must wear swim diapers or plastic/ rubber pants.

8. Showers must be taken before entering the water.

9. Persons having infectious diseases, open sores, bandages, cuts or recent. 

10. NO food or drink shall be permitted in the immediate area of the swimming pool or the deck surrounding the pool.

11. NO glass container or other breakable objects are allowed in the pool area.

12. Absolutely no running, rough play, spitting, drinking or use of foul language will be tolerated in or around the facility.

13. Please be considerate of other homeowners when inviting guests to use the amenities. A maximum of 2 guests per family at any time is allowed in the pool. The homeowner must be present when the guest is there.
14. NO animals of any kind are allowed in the pool area.


SOUTHERN DUNES GUIDELINES & POLICIES

The following user sanitation and safety rules must be followed by visitors to the pool:

1) Anyone who has or has had diarrhea in the past two weeks cannot use the pool.

2) Anyone who has an area of exposed subepidermal tissue, open blisters, cuts, etc., cannot use the pool.

3) All persons must shower before using the pool. A bather leaving the pool to use the toilet must take another shower before returning to the pool enclosure.

4) Spitting, spouting of water, blowing the nose, and similar behavior in the pool is prohibited.

5) No threatening behavior, yelling, arguing, running, rough play, fighting, glass bottles, alcohol, drugs, illegal substances, guns, knives, dangerous objects, or criminal activity is permitted in or near the pool area, on the runways, on diving boards, on floats, on platforms, in dressing rooms, in showers or in the parking lot.
6) Street clothes are not allowed in the pool.

7) All diaper aged children shall use plastic pants with tight fitting elastic at the legs and waist, or swim diapers.

8) Do not change diapers at the poolside.

Additional guidelines for athletic courts, playground, facilities, and pool:

● To provide a safer environment for the public and expedite visitor entry, there is a limit on the size and type of coolers and containers that may be brought into the pool facility:
Coolers and containers cannot exceed 12”x6”12”; Small clutch bags can be taken into the pool facility; After proper inspection at the gate designed for medical purposes, an exception will be made for medically necessary items.

● For protection of guests, the following items are not permitted and cannot be possessed by patrons in or near athletic courts, playground, facilities and/or the pool and parking lots or outside of vehicles: Weapons or firearms; Fireworks or explosives; Any object that can be used as a missile; Poles/sticks/bats of any kind; Glass containers, bottles, and liquid containers (except for guests with special medical or dietary needs); Food; Objects obstruction another guest’s view of the pool; Horns, whistles, boom boxes and/or other noisemakers; Animals (except assistive animals for guests with disabilities); Anything that creates a nuisance or disruption.

● Patrons are subject to visual inspection of persons, parcels, bags, containers and/ or clothing capable of concealing prohibited items. Guests may refuse inspections, however HOA reserves the right to refuse entry and/or require exiting of premises.

● Guests may not bring vaping products, nicotine products, tobacco, alcohol, drugs, or intoxicating substances into the pool facility.

● Guests will not be allowed to enter and will be asked to leave athletic courts, playground, facilities, and/or pool if they are visibly intoxicated. Drunk, threatening, disruptive, intimidating, and disorderly behavior will result in ejection from the athletic courts, playground, facilities, and/or pool without the ability to reenter for 12 months. A 2nd violation results in a permanent ban.

● The pool facility is a smoke-free facility and applicable laws and resolutions prohibit smoking of
any kind in the athletic courts, playground, facilities, and/or pool. Smoking is permitted outside in
the parking lot area or sidewalks.

● Guests may be required to show proof of residency within HOA boundaries before being allowed
to enter or remain in the athletic courts, playground, facilities, and/ or pool.



DO NOT ENTER THIS FACILITY IF YOU HAVE A COUGH, FEVER, OR OTHER
SYMPTOMS OF ILLNESS
● Maintain at least six feet between you and any other people who are not part of your immediate
household.
● The danger of contracting COVID-19 exists if you choose to enter this aquatic facility.

● You are responsible for washing your hands as well as any object/s you bring into the facility.
By entering the pool area, guests assume any and all risk of exposure to COVID-19 that may result from
being present, attending, or participating in pool activities, and guests acknowledge and understand
exposure or infection may result in sickness, injury, illness, disability or death.
Even with mitigation steps taken and compliance with COVID-19 protocols, guests acknowledge and
understand no one cannot prevent the risks of exposure to COVID-19 that may result from being present,
attending, or participating in pool activities.
